The Citadel of Damascus, located at the north west corner of Old Damascus. Multiple defensive structures where built in this site, one of them is the Seljuk citadel, which was built in 1078 A.D. The current structure was built by al-Malek al-Adil (brother of Saladdin) in 1202 A.D
